Pho Danh: Reviews & Ratings
We ordered chicken and beef pho. The broth was very flavorful. I ordered large bowl. Usually this size would stuff me but not this time. The noodles amount seemed like regular size with larger bowl. That being said I would highly recommend this place.
Pho Danh checks all the boxes when it comes to pho. The noodle soup is delicious and has more brisket and noodles that other places. They don’t short change you on bean sprouts, dandelions, etc. They have every condiment you would want. The service is fast and the place is very clean. Best pho in Houston (so far).
I happened to be back in the Southwest part of Houston and decided to stop by my old Pho stomping ground. I was happy to see that they were open at 10 am compared to the usual 11 am open time of other restaurants, so I was able to enjoy Pho for breakfast. Not much has changed, the soup was hot and delicious, noodles weren't overcooked, and the meat was nice and tender. I always order the Pho Tai Chin. I noticed they added a few additional soup dishes to the menu, but they still stick to what they're good at making, which is noodle soups. I'm pretty sure first time visitors may still be wondering if they will add meat and rice dishes to the menu, but I highly doubt it. When I say not much has changed, that also goes for the less than average bathroom conditions next to the restaurant. If you need to wash your hands before eating your meal, you will need to bring your own soap, paper towels, and maybe even your own toilet paper if you have other things you have to take care of. No stars taken away since it is part of the shopping center's responsibility to keep up with the cleanliness of their facilities, but disgusting nonetheless. And just FYI, for the new comers. The staff and owners here really don't smile too much at anyone, it's just the way they look, but I do agree that their Vietnamese resting faces are less than welcoming. Once you get to know them a little bit, you'll find out that they really don't have any negative intentions towards anyone. Just relax and enjoy the food.
One of the best bowls of pho I’ve had in Houston. I highly recommend the Da Chanh (fresh limeade), it’s very yummy The staff was very kind and service was quick! Will definitely be back.
In my and my family's opinion this is the best Pho in the area. We've tried many places, and we always end up returning here because the pho stands out above all others we tried. This Pho broth is the best! The depth of flavor on it is what keeps us coming back. Many choices, for everyone something and the produce served with it is extremely fresh and crisp. Also recommend drinks such as Thai tea, Vietnamese coffee and coconut drink The food is amazing and courteous service.
One of the many pho places in the city, but definitely one of the better ones. Prices are a little high, but there is plenty of pho and meat in the large bowl. I ordered mine without cilantro or onions, but they load it full of toppings if you let them.
My in-laws took us here as Pho Danh is one of their favorite Pho joints. The atmosphere is like a cafeteria with no-frills, humble good. I got the combination Beef Pho while the kids got the Kids Pho with Meatballs. For $7, the kids pho was a great deal. The broth is the same across and is very well done. I really like the pho broth. More importantly, it's so simple, yet delicious. I definitely would want to come back.
This pho restaurant seems like a hidden gem at the Hong Kong City Mall. We had the combo (dac biet) pho and the hu tieu egg noodles with chicken, pork & shrimp. The broths for both dishes are tasty with good spice flavors in them. The restaurant was clean, and the service was fast. Will try their bun bo hue next time.
